9 June 2024 - Boat Naming for Ann Glanville

The club met for a party and naming ceremony for our new ladies 8+, Ann Glanville.  Ann was a pioneering female rower in the 19th century, known for her exceptional strength, skill, and determination in an era when rowing was predominantly a male sport. Naming a boat after Ann Glanville is a tribute to her enduring legacy of resilience and excellence, values we embrace here at X-Press. 

8 June 2024 - Bedford Star Regatta

Two wins at the Bedford Star Regatta: Alice in W open 1x and Richard / Marcia in the Mixed Mas 2x. 

1 June 2024 - X-Press Head Race

Congratulations to Peterhouse for winning the John Dent Trophy for the second year running.  Thanks to all X-Press marshals for making it all possible!

19 May 2024 - Venice Trip

Two X-Press 4+ crews entered the Vogalonga 40km race through the canals of Venice.  The Vogalonga is an annual event that celebrates human-powered watercraft - it was an unforgettable challenge, weaving through even more boats than on the Cam. 

14 April 2024 - Bedford Regatta

Two mixed quads raced at Bedford Regatta ('Heavies' and 'Lights') - No pots, but found Ben's hat in the trailer.

24 March 2024 - HoRR and VHoRR

A successful trip on Tideway for an Open 8+, Mas 8+ and Mixed Mas 4x.  Won the pennant for fastest pub team!
