Due to the windy conditions including the met office yellow wind warning and CUBC yellow flag, the following restrictions will apply to the X-Press Head tonight:
ONLY crews permitted to row under CUBC yellow flag conditions may race.
ALL CRA CREWS may race EXCEPT those with NOVICE COXES (Any COX who has completed less than 25 outings is a novice cox).
Racing is therefore permitted for University crews, first VIIIs, men's crews in the top 2 divisions of the May Bumps and women's crews in the top division of the May Bumps, and permitted for ALL CRA categories apart from boats with NOVICE COXES
All crews should consider the wind and river conditions.
Coaches, Captains and coxes should assess carefully whether their NOVICE crews will be able to cope with the conditions safely and not boat if in doubt. X-Press BC has no information to make a judgement on the competencies of novice crews.
Our apologies for any disappointment. The rain is expected to stop.
